Sustainability

Responsible by Design

Being a Benefit Corporation means looking beyond profit and embracing a broader responsibility toward society and the environment. For Henge, this translates into a business model that balances economic growth with social and environmental value, integrating goals of common benefit into every stage of our work. We are committed to creating beauty that lasts, while ensuring that our processes generate tangible, positive outcomes for people, communities, and the planet.

Every decision we make is guided by principles of transparency, accountability, and a deep awareness of impact. This means that our choices reflect not only international standards but also our own dedication to integrity, craftsmanship, and sustainability.

By weaving these values into our daily practice, we are able to merge design excellence with ethical responsibility, shaping a long-term vision in which creativity and responsibility evolve together, driving meaningful change for the future.

Materials and Supply Chain

We select rare and certified raw materials, reducing the use of critical chemicals and favoring healthier, longer-lasting solutions.

95% of our suppliers are located within 40 km of our factory: a network of local excellence that preserves identity, reduces time and environmental impact, and ensures traceability through audits certified by Bureau Veritas.

Community and territory

Sustainability also means building lasting and meaningful relationships with the local context. Henge actively supports cultural and social initiatives, invests in the regeneration of the areas where it operates, and enhances the value of Italian craftsmanship on an international stage.

Our commitment extends from the redevelopment of abandoned industrial sites into green and livable spaces, to the sponsorship of cultural events that enrich the community, and to long-term partnerships with universities that nurture new generations of designers and architects. By engaging with local organizations and creating opportunities for dialogue and collaboration, we strengthen the social fabric and contribute to a more resilient and inclusive environment.

In this way, our vision goes beyond design: it becomes a way to generate shared value, celebrate cultural heritage, and build a future that is both sustainable and inspiring for the communities around us and for the generations to come.
