Henge Lights Up Design Nights With VOCLA: A Multisensory Journey Through Art, Matter And Vision

During Milan Design Week 2025, Henge took centre stage at VOCLA, a new format conceived by Alcova that transformed the Ex Macello in Viale Molise into an immersive space dedicated to experimental design and nocturnal sociality.
At the heart of the project was the installation by Henge, developed under the artistic direction of Ugo Cacciatori, who curated the entire spatial concept of VOCLA. The focal point of the experience was the Air Bar - a sculptural lounge bar featuring a backlit marble counter that became the vibrant soul of the event.
The intervention seamlessly merged Henge’s furnishings and lighting with the site’s raw architecture, crafting a captivating environment where visitors could engage with design in a more informal and convivial way - far from the conventions of a traditional exhibition.
Henge’s creations - ranging from icons like the Mushroom coffee tables by Yabu Pushelberg to new pieces from the 2025 Collection, including the Spyder 80 light and Re-Bond sofa by Cacciatori - were designed not merely to be admired, but to be experienced. Seating, surfaces, volumes and lighting became part of a continuous interplay between function and poetry.
Alongside the Air Bar, VOCLA hosted a curated selection of projects by both emerging and established designers, animating the venue with installations, functional objects, prototypes and limited-edition pieces. Many of these were integrated into the space and actively used by the public, transforming the visit into a participatory experience that broke down barriers between viewer and creation.
Enhancing the atmosphere was a bold culinary offering by YAPA, whose pop-up restaurant delivered a global street food–inspired menu, accompanied by mixology curated in collaboration with whiskey brand NEIT.
Through its participation in VOCLA, Henge once again reaffirmed its commitment to experimentation and immersive experiences, staying true to its vision of authentic, radical and timeless beauty.
